I don't really think there is a Fab 5 #1 curse.  And the previous article was just having a little fun.  Those two Pylons games were surely a fluke and they will be rebounding soon enough.

However, in the Fab 5 announcement, Keith mentions my name and says I have them playing really well.  However, to be perfectly frank, I only do two things : 

1.  Collect money/pay Keith

2.  Pick who is playing forward and defense

This team does the rest on their own.  Many times we don't have lines set until the warmup is done.  If you ever see us dragging our butts out to center ice for the start of the game - it's partially because we're old and it takes us longer to get there, but many times it's because we're still setting the lines.

I have to give credit to the entire team for playing so well.  We have roughly the same record as last season & division 5 has gotten noticeably better.  Way to go guys.

And most importantly, we have only had 3 subs all season long.  So game in and game out, it's the same basic line up.  And everybody contributes.  That's our big secret.  Most teams can shutdown one or two players, but when that happens, one or two other players step up with a big game.

These guys make it really fun to run a team.

After 3 beat-downs the "Heroes" will be moving to D-5...where we belong.  As luck would have it, our first game in D-5 will be against the team that a few of us used to play for. 

When I was in our lockerroom I overheard some of the guys saying things like "I hate The A-team" and "Who was that idiot that came up with that name?"..and the best ones were "Those are stupid shirts"..."MVP of a tournament game gets a shirt? that's dumb!"

That last paragraph was a complete fabrication....for comedic purposes...or maybe not
